Mayfield Weedon, L.L.P. was established in 2002 by founding partners and Longview natives Marc Mayfield and Frank Weedon, who wanted to bring their legal experience back to their hometown and provide East Texans with the services of a top-caliber local law firm.
Mr. Mayfield and Mr. Weedon have strong connections to Longview and the East Texas region. They grew up together in Longview as childhood friends, leading the Longview High School debate team and working together on the mock trial team, before graduating in 1986. After gaining years of valuable legal experience in Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth in the fields of personal injury and worker’s compensation, they returned to their hometown of Longview to establish Mayfield Weedon, L.L.P.
Originally founded to specialize in personal injury and worker’s compensation cases, Mayfield Weedon, L.L.P. has since expanded its breadth of services with the additions of J. Brandt Thorson and Zach Austin, who are both former Gregg County prosecutors and specialize in the areas of criminal defense, family law, social security/disability, and wills and probate law.
